SURF LIFE SAVING

Our club is volunteer-based, therefore, members give up some of their time to help ensure the safety of beachgoers at Port Kembla Beach. Patrolling with Port Kembla Surf Life Saving Club requires members to hold a Bronze Medallion (or higher) or a Surf Rescue Certificate. Bronze Medallion members need to be at least 15 years old. Younger members can train for the Surf Rescue Certificate in the U14 Nippers Program.

The patrolling season starts at the end of September and finishes in April. There are many roles available within surf lifesaving at club level, along with opportunities to gain new skills and qualifications.
